About Riverdale Preschool

Riverdale is a great choice for young children and families to begin school success. We are a free Preschool for All program supported by the state of Illinois. This fall we will have the potential to reach 180 students in the Rock Falls area through child-centered, play-based experiences. We like to have fun while learning. We believe your child's uniqueness and interests should play a part in their learning. Whether it be learning about community helpers, farm animals, transportation, or the weather, our teachers plan lessons that follow Illinois Early Learning Standards guided by Creative Curriculum to make choices that match student needs. We have five classrooms ranging from 10 to 20 students with options for typical or more supportive environments. We offer morning and afternoon sessions.

If you are interested in starting your child on their learning adventure, please call. We will help you set up a screening for your child and guide you through the registration process. We enroll students throughout the school year as they turn three. Four and five-year-olds are welcome to start at any time. Children who turn five by September 1st should enroll in their district kindergarten. We hope to see you soon!
